Qatar Motor Show will offer automotive enthusiasts and visitors exclusive regional and local reveals from 20 global brands, organisers Qatar Tourism Authority (QTA) and Fira Qatar have confirmed. Held under the patronage of HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani, the event will open its doors from April 18 to 22 at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre (DECC). True to its theme of “Driving to Innovation”. Qatar Motor Show 2017 will take visitors on a “thrill-filled ride” to discover the latest hybrid and tech-advanced vehicles that are paving the way to the future of the automotive industry.
The show will unveil limited-edition cars and also feature some of the rarest classic cars in the world. The organisers have said in a press statement. Spread over the 12,000sqm hall, exhibitors will include Dodge, Jeep, Ford, Lincoln, Hyundai, Nissan, Toyota, Lexus, Chevrolet, Genesis, Jaguar, Land Rover, Maserati, BMW, Mercedes- Benz, Mitsubishi, BAIC and Harley Davidson. The Classic Car exhibition will showcase a line-up of 20 cars provided by Sheikh Faisal Bin Qassim Al Thani Museum, Alfardan Group and Mawater.
“Qatar Motor Show’s long-term vision is to become a platform. And hub for industry innovation and technology. While reinforcing Qatar’s position as a premium business events destination,” said Ahmed al-Obaidli, director of exhibitions at QTA. “This goal has guided our strategy in designing the three upcoming editions and turning them into true experiential events. In addition to witnessing reveals by global brands first-hand, visitors will experience the future of the automotive industry.
