Leland and Wilfred Leland, Lincoln has been an auxiliary of Ford in 1922, the ford motor company Ltd. introduced Lincoln brand to China in 2014 and Lincoln are publicly sold and marketed in the Middle East and South Korea. The company headquartered is situated in Dearborn, Michigan, U.S. The Company key people Kumar Galhotra was the president of the company in 1 September, 2014.
The present Lincoln model range in North America consists of two sedans (Continental and MKZ), three crossover utility vehicles (MKC, MKT, and MKX), and a sport utility vehicle (Navigator/Navigator L). The Lincoln also sells two vehicles exclusively for limousine/livery use, both versions based on the MKT.

History
1917s-1940s :

Lincoln group primary source of income was based on military contracts and Lincoln co-assembled Liberty V12 aircraft engines, using cylinders supplied by Ford Motor Company, along with Buick, Cadillac, Marmon, and Packard. Alongside aircraft engine manufacturing, Lincoln built its first automobile in 1917 and the Lincoln Model L. Powered by a V8 engine, the Model L was sold as a luxury automobile, challenging against other American luxury car manufacturers.
1940s -1945s :

The Lincoln Continental flourishes its production as a personal luxury car quite literally due to the reputation of the personal car of Edsel Ford in 1940. In 1945, Ford Motor Company compound with the Mercury and Lincoln divisions together. Lincoln introduced a two-model lineup Continental and the Zephyr-based range. It was based on the former Zephyr in 1946, the standard Lincoln range only commute the Lincoln nameplate.
Lincoln Mark Series

For 1968, as a competitor for the successful Cadillac Eldorado revealed in 1967, Ford Motor Company established a rebirth of the Continental Mark II personal luxury coupe. The named Continental Mark III, the vehicle provided as the flagship of all of Ford Motor Company.
Small Lincolns

The development as a response to the fame of the 1975 Cadillac Seville and Lincoln issued the Lincoln Versailles in 1977 model year. Thirty inches shorter and 1500 pounds lighter than a Lincoln Continental, the Versailles was based on upon the Ford Granada/Mercury Monarch (as the Seville was based on the Chevrolet Nova). Thirty inches shorter and 1500 pounds lighter than a Lincoln Continental.
Trucks and SUVs
For 1998, Lincoln introduced its first sport-utility vehicle, the Navigator. The Navigator was the first all-new Lincoln product line in the Versailles. The Navigator met with a positive response in the market, leading to the issue of the Cadillac Escalade. The Aviator was announced since 2003 and it was based on the Ford Explorer. In 2002, the Blackwood appeared that was based on the Ford F-150 Supercrew with Lincoln Navigator front sheet metal, the Blackwood wore a customized cargo box redesigned as a trunk.
MK-Series

Lincoln appeared with all-new midsize sport-sedan, reviving the Zephyr nameplate since 2006, for 2007, as part of a minor revision, Lincoln changed the name to MKZ, in 2006, Lincoln was introduced the MKS concept. The Lincoln introduced the MKS concept since 2006. The Production starts in 2009, the MKS uses the Ford D3 platform taken from Volvo P2 shared with the Ford Taurus.
Sales
Lincoln get its two best U.S. sales years to date in 1989 (200,315) and 1990 (231,660), the popularity of the redesigned Continental, appeared in December 1987, and of the redesigned Town Car introduced in October 1989.
Brand Image
Lincoln attached a greyhound as the hood embellishment since 1927, and then in the 1930s used a coat of arms with a red cross in the center and a knight’s helmet at the top as the official symbol. The introductions of a coat of arms for Lincoln match with the introduction of a Ford coat of arms starting in the mid-1950s. The coat of arms appeared on various Lincoln models until the mid-1950s when the coat of arms developed into the framed, 4-pointed star that is now in use.

The Lincoln issued a new alphanumeric terminology which lead to most models carries three-letter designation starting with “MK” since 2007. Today, only the Navigator and lately re-introduced Continental have model names that don’t use the “MK” nomenclature. Livery and limousine models of the MKT use the Town Car name.
