Importing a Vehicle

  • All imported vehicles must meet US motor vehicle safety standards, Department of Transportation and Environmental Protection Agency standards.
  • Failure to meet US emissions and safety standards can lead to cost prohibitive conversion costs as well as bonding and detention charges.
  • Vehicles less than three months old are subject to import tax of 4%.

Used Cars Import Duties And Taxes In Guam

Used vehicles are traded all over the world but it is governed by a specific set of legal binding and obligations. There is an additional amount of money which adds up to the total cost of ownership as a result of import duties and taxes.
