Kato Works Company Limited is a Japanese company. Its headquarter situated in Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo Japan. The company was founded in 1895 and established in 1935. The key people of the company Kimiyasu Kato, is the President of the company. Kato manufacture and sales of mobile cranes, construction and industrial equipment.
History
1895s – 1960s :

In 1895, it was founded as the private enterprise Kato Iron Works. In 1923, it started manufacturing internal combustion engines and motor-cars for rail use. Became the designated factory of the Ministry of Railway. In 1935, it was reorganized as a private enterprise and established as an incorporated entity, (Kato Works Co., Ltd.). In 1938, it started manufacturing of engines, tractors, road rollers, cranes etc. Further, in 1959, it started manufacturing of hydraulic truck cranes and earth boring rigs.
1960s – 1990s :

In 1967, it started manufacturing of fully hydraulic excavators. In 1969, it introduced the NK-750 jumbo, fully hydraulic truck crane, the largest in the world. Also, in 1970, it was listed in the 1st section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange. In 1980, it started manufacturing of rough terrain cranes. So, in 1985, it completed the New Headquarters building and celebrated the 50th anniversary of establishment. In 1987, it introduced the all terrain crane KA-800.
1990s – Present :

In 1995, It was 100-year anniversary of the founding of Kato and also completed the NK-5000 (500 tons) truck crane in this year. In 1998, it introudced the all terrain crane KA-900. Also, in 2004, it launched the rough terrain crane MR-130. In 2005, it introudced the rough terrain crane SL-650R. In 2008, introduced the hydraulic excavator REGZAM series. However, in 2011, it released the all terrain crane KA-4000R.
