
Kubota Corporation is a Japanese-based tractor and heavy equipment manufacturer. It was founded in Osaka, Japan in 1890. Its headquarter is situated at Naniwa-ku, Osaka, Japan. The company was founded by Gonshiro Kubota. Masatoshi Kimata is the CEO and President of the company, is the key people of the company. One of its notable contributions was to the construction of the Solar Ark.
The company manufactures many products including tractors and agricultural equipment, engines, construction equipment, vending machines, pipe, valves, cast metal, pumps and equipment for water purification, sewage treatment and air conditioning. The company is listed on the first section of Tokyo Stock Exchange and is a constituent of the TOPIX 100 and Nikkei 225.

History
1890s – 1940s :

The company established in 1890. Started production of castings for weighting equipment and daily commodities. In 1922, It started production of oil-based engines for agro-industrial purposes, settanki (fuel economizer: energy-saving equipment utilizing waste gas), and heat-resistant cast iron. In 1930, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry selected the Kubota Oil Engine as an “Excellent Domestic Product”.
1940s – 1970s :

In 1947s It developed the cultivator and began production and sales. In 1953, It changed corporate name from K.K. Kubota Tekko-jo to Kubota Tekko K.K. Established Kubota Kenki K.K. and entered the construction equipment industry. It also began production of power shovels and other construction equipment as well as marine deck machineries. In 1960 It developed and commercialized first Japanese farm tractor.
1970s – 1990s :

In 1972 Kubota entered into the field of incinerators. Kubota established Kubota Tractor Corporation in the US to fully enter the US tractor market. In 1990, Kubota altered the corporate name to Kubota Corporation and also introduced the new corporate symbol and visual identity system.
1990s – Present :

In 2005, Our Teshima Illegal Waste Dump Raw Material Recovery System won the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Prize at the Excellent Environmental Equipment Awards. Total production exceeded 3 million units for our tractors. In 2014, Kubota established an upland farming tractor manufacturing company in France (Kubota Farm Machinery Europe S.A.S.).
