Toyota Allex vs Renault Megane: The Toyota Allex is a five-door hatchback that succeeded the Toyota Sprinter sedan, a badge-engineered variant of the Toyota Corolla RunX. The Allex was exclusive to Toyota Netz Store places, while the Corolla RunX was exclusive to Toyota Corolla Store places.

The Renault Mégane is a small family car manufactured by the French car manufacturer Renault since the end of 1995 and was the replacement to the Renault 19. The Mégane has been given in three and five-door hatchback, saloon, coupe, convertible, and estate body styles at different points in its existence, and having been through three generations is now in its fourth incarnation.

Let’s start the comparison of Toyota Allex vs Renault Megane and find out what these vehicles have to offer as well as where they compete with each other in various aspects you are going to find below.

The Toyota Allex

The Toyota Allex hatchback car initially developed as a successor to the Toyota Sprinter, a Toyota Corolla model. So, the Toyota Allex vehicle is a moderate-sized hatchback car. Allex coming in body size measurements such as 4,175 mm in length, 1,695 mm in width, and 1,470 mm in height. It is an ideal size for maneuvering easily through urban streets and coasting on highways. The Toyota Allex car further refreshed to sport new stylistic interior and exterior designs in 2002, and again in 2004. Its 1st generation lasting up to the year 2006.

The Renault Megane

With this all-new fourth-generation model, though, Renault ensures greater all-around elegance and more enjoyment. It’s been produced from the ground up to renew its battle with big performers like the Ford Focus, Seat Leon, and VW Golf. There are a considerable and strong exterior and a bold new high-tech interior that includes all the latest safety equipment and all the executive stuff you’d anticipate to view only on much pricier vehicles. It also arrives with a variety of petrol and diesel engines that combine a 1.5-liter diesel with low CO2 emissions to readjust company car customers and a 202bhp 1.6-liter petrol for those seeking more zip.

Toyota Allex vs Renault Megane: Interior & Exterior

The Toyota Allex vehicle offers a large amount of internal space. It making it roomier in comparison to the Toyota Corolla RunX. The Toyota Allex offers five seats, five doors, and a wheelbase of 2,600 mm. Along with a ground clearance of 160 mm and a vehicle weight of 1,200 kg.

However, the Allex car equipped with a number of useful standard features including power steering, airbags, power windows, air conditioning, radio, and rear spoiler. Additionally, the Toyota Allex hatchback car fixed with an anti-lock braking system that prevents the wheels from locking up and skidding while in motion.

The model’s exterior is elegantly designed, with big headlights, stylish trimmings, and a large, bold front grille. Toyota Allex has plenty of internal space and is more spacious than Corolla RunX

The interior of the Megane is a comfortable spot – particularly as it has a quality unlike most of its competitors, main gratitude to a more straight middle console that houses a portrait-oriented touchscreen on higher-spec models. The more generous portrait central screen seems great and complements the digital dials rightly, but the software done appearance and shows a tiny date linked with much briefer and finer graphics seen on newer competitors.

Dashboard

While the central dashboard is squidgy and a delightful aspect, some scratchier synthetics are beating around the cabin. We think this will be more apparent on more affordable cars, which don’t profit from the rich decorations observed on the range’s upper echelons. Still, the GT Line cars evolve with lashings of blue trim beyond the dashboard which, in order with optionally-added seats (also with blue trim) and blue ambient lighting, can seem a bit naff. Moreover, the region throughout the touchscreen seems dirty and oily quite quickly. Despite this, it’s very natural to get satisfactory in front of Megane. There’s loads of change in the seats and the steering wheel, plus the seats themselves are very supportive and satisfactory – even on entry-level cars.

Toyota Allex vs Renault Megane: Engine

Engine of Toyota Allex

The Toyota Allex has a serial four-cylinder engine. With average combined fuel consumption of around 15.5 km/L. However, the Allex has an average engine model is 2ZZ-GE with a max. power of 139.75 kW and it has a fuel tank capacity of 50 Liter with an engine displacement of around 1496cm3. So, the Toyota Allex also has a multipoint injection fuel system, with its main fuel type being petrol.

Engine of Renault Megane

The new Megane is prepared with two petrol engines and two diesel engines. The entry-level 1.2-liter petrol is excellent for city driving and smaller trips but you need to work it quite difficult for motorway trips, which presents it slightly a loud engine because you require to hold the revs up to perform fair growth.

Engine

The diesel engines befit it better for more strong use; although the 1.2 is the most affordable engine so could be a good option for individual users, but it’s not as effective as some of its competitors. The 1.5-liter diesel engine has comparable strength to its competitors, but it seems slower in real-world driving related to the Seat Leon 1.6 TDI 110 or Astra 1.6 CDTi because the Megane shows more. It still pulls solidly from 1500rpm and gets you firmly to a 70mph motorway journey. It sounds soft, even when run hard, but you do sense the engine’s vibrations humming through the pedals.

The 1.6-liter diesel is a good fit for the Megane, allowing adjustable performance (without being fast) and relative refinement, plus it’s a steady racer on motorway trips. It isn’t the cleanest diesel engine in this class, and you will yet get a loud engine note if you drive it hard, but it has a nice deserved fuel economy of 70.6mpg and low CO2 emissions of 104g/km for only a little premium over the 1.5-liter diesel.

Toyota Allex vs Renault Megane: Verdict

The Toyota Allex

The Allex gives a tremendous volume of space, hence making it justified for growing families and their day-to-day. Still, a bigger size gets to a larger weight, indicating that for those seeming for a zipper hatchback, the Allex may not be the better option. Toyota Allex also gives better cruise control capacities making about a better balance amid engine power and fuel economy. For families after a safe budget hatchback, the Toyota Allex may be the more sensible option, also, you can rest ensured you will be getting into Toyota’s trademark quality.

The Renault Megane

The Renault Megane is a qualified family car, particularly if you’re involved in riding something less clear than its more traditional competitors, such as the Volkswagen Golf and Ford Focus. It’s great to ride and has a nice-looking interior. There are also loads of equipment for the money and the engines are clean and affordable to operate. It’s not ideal, though. Start poking around under and it won’t take long to realize cheap-feeling, scratchy synthetics, while the media system just isn’t as great as in many of its competitors. Neither is it truly as spacious inside as some of the rival(s).
